Q: How can you help me if I don't live in Seattle?
A: A number of our patients live out-of-town and travel here to receive higher quality dental care than they have available at home. Just call and let us know when you would like to schedule your appointments, and we'll do our best to get you in and work around your business trip or vacation time. We also offer complimentary tooth whitening, complimentary consultation and exam, courtesy limousine service from the airport, and we're happy to help make all your travel plans, including flight arrangements and accommodations.

Q: Can I really have my smile enhanced in less than one week?
A: Depending on your needs, we may be able to complete the work in as little as two appointments: one to prepare and a second to finish. We treat many patients this way. However, in keeping with our comprehensive care approach, we recommend in some cases that patients treat underlying conditions first then proceed with cosmetic enhancements. When you come in for your complimentary consultation we can discuss what you want to accomplish and tailor plans accordingly.

Q: Can my appointments be scheduled to correspond with by vacation, business trip or other plans?
A: We make every effort to work around you and accommodate your needs. Plus, we offer out-of-town patients complimentary whitening and other courtesies.

Q: Will my insurance pay for cosmetic dentistry?
A: Coverage depends upon your specific policy and deductible amount. Our full-time insurance coordinator Terri enjoys handling the many details involved with processing insurance claims. She's a powerful advocate for patients, helping them maximize their insurance benefits. Terri will go to bat for you with your insurance company so you don't have to -- a huge benefit and service to patients. We can also supply insurance companies with intra-oral photographs to provide indisputable evidence of indications and treatment.

We've taken care of everything except parking the car for you. And our location offers extremely easy access from the freeway (I-5 northbound and southbound) -- we're just one minute from the Seneca exit. See Contact Us for directions and details.

Q: Is the BriteSmile in office teeth whitening system bad for my teeth?
A: The BriteSmile system consists of a gentle hydrogen-peroxide whitening gel activated by a special gas plasma light. Hydrogen-peroxide has been used for more than a century to whiten teeth. Independent safety studies, conducted by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and confirmed by senior researchers at NYU, prove that the BriteSmile professional teeth whitening treatment is safe, while clinical studies performed by BriteSmile and others show an average of 8 or more shades lighter -- and even higher for individuals with darker teeth -- after a single visit.

Q: How natural will my smile be after cosmetic dentistry?
A: Chancesare, unless you tell people they'll never know that you've had cosmetic dentistry work done here. Of course, your friends, family and co-workers will undoubtedly notice how great your smile looks. But we take special pride in creating the most natural smile possible, matching the light that shines through your natural teeth so that even a single tooth restoration is virtually undetectable. Q: Do you work with children?
A: We love children. But we've chosen to focus on what we do best: providing adults with comprehensive cosmetic dental care. Other excellent dentists have chosen children's dentistry, or Pedodontics, as their area of focus and expertise. We would be happy to provide referrals to these professionals.

Q: What can I expect if porcelain veneers will be used to create my new smile?
A: When you come in for a smile make over, we begin with a thorough examination, evaluation and interview to gather all the critical data -- as well as discussing your interests and goals -- for the Case Work-Up. This can typically be done in a single day that includes a full mouth set of X-rays, a set of 16 photos and diagnostic stone casts of your teeth. In an extensive interview, we'll talk about your interests and goals. Then, we'll apply a combination of technology and artistry, using photos and models to sculpt your new smile, so you can see if the result matches your vision.

Next, we take the artistry into your mouth, creating temporaries, so you can see in the same day what the final result will look like, wear them and make sure you like the result before we create the ceramic restoration. Once we've crafted your actual new smile in terms of texture and shape, you can wear it to confirm it's exactly what you wanted. Finally, we fabricate the veneers with complete control and predictability of color and contours in your final ceramics. Often, this process requires as few as two appointments.

Q: I'm looking for a great general dentist. Can I come to the Center for general dental care?
A: Absolutely. Our extensive training in cosmetic, reconstructive, and restorative dentistry allow us to treat the most complex cases. Yet when you see us for your general dental care, we provide the highest level of comprehensive diagnosis And we put the same level of care into a simple filling if that is all that is needed.

Many general dental patients don't even realize they have early dental problems developing. Often we catch and treat problems before they become severe. If at some point you can benefit from cosmetic enhancements, you'll have a sound foundation upon which we can build.

I can't find an answer to a question I have. Can someone at the Center help me?
Please call or send us an email. We know how important is it to have your questions answered.
